This article explains how to remove quantity off of a Ship Doc when that Ship Doc has Lot / Serial Number Tracking.

Sometimes there Sales Orders that contain many Items but only a few of those Items are able to be shipped immediately. There is now the option to Select Items to Ship. This allows you to pick and choose which Items to add to the Ship Doc.

By Splitting a Sales Order you can move all of the Open Quantities of line items over to a new Sales Order and Close the original one. This works well for businesses that Ship partial orders.
