Issue:
"The inventory adjustment account must be different than the inventory asset account used for item XXXXXXXXX". Please select a different account."
What does it mean:
The account that you selected on the adjustment is also being used on one of the individual items. You cant have the same account on a document and one of the items on that document.
Solution:
Edit the Adjustment and choose a different account.
